Sam Evans and I visited a couple of places on the South Holston Lake
yesterday. Didn't find many waterfowl but did find four Brown-headed
Nuthatches at the Washington County Park; and large numbers of
White-crowned Sparrows, Gold Finches and House Finches at Musick's
Campground. It was a gloomy day with overcast skies and a cold wind
blowing up the lake. We didn't stand around very long.
