The Bristol Christmas Count was conducted on Dec. 27th. The weather was
very warm for late December. The high temperature was 76 degrees which
set a record for the Bristol count. The high temperature probably had an
effect on the low number of species this year. Several duck species were
missed. We had 74 species which was the lowest species total since 1991.
The catbird was found by Rack and Angela Cross at Clear Creek. The
Red-headed Woodpeckers were found by Rob Biller and Ron Carrico within Area
A.
