Yesterday (Tues, Sept 27) Jim Anderson and I birded water areas in
Sullivan County. Highlights:
Musick's Campground:
Blue-winged Teal 300
N. Shoveler 2
Pied-billed Grebe 3
Cooper's Hawk 1
Peregrine 1
Osprey 1
Semipalmated Plover 1
When we got to Musick's, Rick Knight was there and had already seen,
identified, and counted almost all of these birds.
He also saw some other shorebirds which left (because of the Peregrine)
before we saw them.
Boat Launch area on Painter Creek Rd. near Musick's:

We also saw 4 white terns and about 30 swallows fly by.
We couldn't identify them with confidence.
