This morning (Friday, March 28) I just saw a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher in a stand
of willows at my home in Hampton, TN. It's the first Blue-gray Gnatcatcher of
spring and right on schedule.

Yesterday, at the pond at Erwin's Fishery Park, I saw about 20 Wood Ducks and
a single Hooded Merganser hen. On Wednesday, there had been two hens and a
drake Hooded Merganser as well as a swarm of Tree Swallows over the pond.
