Birders,
Today (6 Aug. 2003) while Kevin Hamed and myself where
on Steele Creek Park Lake in Bristol, Tennessee
working on my research that I am conducting on the Eastern Spiny
Softshell
Turtle, we spotted a Black-crowned Night Heron in a
low lying tree close to Paw Paw Branch Cove .
As far as I know, this is a good record for that species in the park.
The black, fat line going over the eyes gave away that it was a
Black-crowned.
