November 11, 2009 Rural Retreat Lake US · Virginia Lon. -81.294279, Lat. 36.865751, Alt. 2,513 ft Member: Allen Boynton Hotspot: Rural Retreat Lake Notes: About 100 Canada Goose flew in at dusk. 40+ Killdeer were on the Hall's Farm fields, recently plowed. Horned Lark and Mourning Dove were with the Killdeer. The gulls were roosted in the Hall's Farm alfalfa field, but all departed the lake area by dusk.
