January 30, 2011 Rural Retreat Lake US · Virginia Lon. -81.294279, Lat. 36.865751, Alt. 2,513 ft Member: Allen Boynton Hotspot: Rural Retreat Lake Notes: The lake is still frozen, and there was not a Mallard or Canada Goose to be found. I found no unusual birds, but enjoyed the warm sunshine and beating the bushes. As you can see from the photo, the snow drifts are still deep in places.
