I decided to take a drive through the gorge on Lone Star Road this morning on
my way to Mendota River. Lone Star has always been one of the best places in
the area to pick up a daytime Barred Owl, but it didn't produce one today. Only
had several Wild Turkey, a pair of Scarlet Tanagers, and several Indigo
Buntings.

The swinging bridge area near the little white church was very active
today. Here is a list of birds I picked up there and the surrounding roads
along the river.
