[Bristol-Birds] Bill Grigsby's mother passes away at Kingsport

The mother of Bristol Bird Club member and leader, 
Bill Grigsby, passed away Monday evening at Kingsport.
Visitation will be at Hamlett-Dobson, Thursday, Oct. 7, from
6 to 8 P.M. Graveside services will be at Tri-cities Memory Garden,
across from Tri-Cities Airport, Friday, Oct. 8, at 11:00 A.M.

His mother, Mary Monroe Grigsby, lived at 100 Netherland Inn Rd.
Kingsport. She passed away at Netherland Healthcare.

She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, January 6, 1922.
She was a Registered Nurse, receiving her nursing training at
Sacred Heart Hospital in Manchester and ETSU. She served as a
Navy nurse in World War 11 with the rank of Lieutenant, J.G. She
was a nurse at Mountain Home VA Center and retired from
Holston Defense Corp.

She was a volunteer for the Red Cross and enjoyed watching birds,
walking and fishing.

She was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Grigsby,
parents, James T. and Mabel Monroe, and a brother, James B. Monroe.

She is surviveded by a sister, Alice Cullity, Bedford, NH, a son and 
daughter-in-law, Bill and Janace Grigsby, Kingsport, a son. John Grigsby, 
Kingsport, and four grand-children, Charles Grigsby, Atlanta, GA, Sarah,
Chattanooga, Jacob and Jocelyn, both of Kingsport. (Charlies Grigsby of
Atlanta and Sarah Grigsby of Chattanooga are children of Bill and Janace.)

In lieu of flower, the family requests that donations be made to St.
Dominic's or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of East
Tennessee, 6701 Baum Drive, Suite 240, Knoxville, TN 37919.
