Jamie Scott reported that a mature bald eagle has been "hanging out" on the
South Holston River near Rivers Way Outdoor Adventure Center. This is located
in Sullivan County, about 2 miles below the Weir Dam, or just upstream from the
Route 44 Pvt Carrier Memorial Bridge. The bird was first seen on Tuesday,
August 26, 2003.
