Bristol Area Birders, This morning I heard the "weet weet weet bzzz" of a Cerulean Warbler in the trees at the edge of the backyard. I located the tree he was in then got the binoculars. He was in the branches of a tall locust tree. For some reason warblers seem to like the locust trees. The bird stayed in the tree for about 15 minutes then started moving farther back into the woods. This is the second time in about two weeks that a Cerulean, probably the same one, has been singing at the edge of the yard. Enjoy the birds, Roger Mayhorn Grundy, VA Buchanan County ************************************************* BRISTOL BIRDS NET LIST This is a regional birding list sponsored by the Bristol Bird Club to facilitate communications between birders and bird clubs of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.
