Chris O'Bryan, a wildlife biology graduate student at Clemson University, is coming home to the Bristol Bird Club as the speaker for our Annual Banquet scheduled for 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16, 2011. We will be at the Addilynn Memorial United Methodist Church in Bristol Tennessee. The church is on Avoca Rd. just off Volunteer Pky. near Friendship Ford. Avoca Rd. also turns off behind Oak-Cook Funeral Home. Come enjoy a wonderful dinner, a warm and fuzzy banquet talk from a neat research naturalist who cut his teeth and threw away his security blanket to go afield with area birders and other naturalists while becoming a talented biologist. And enjoy dinner fellowship with you fellow naturalists. This will be his first ever banquet talk and he is very excited about the opportunity. To begin at home with friends is special to the guy whose parents make their home at Piney Flats, TN. He is a trained and very-experienced herpetologist as well a talented naturalist and a birder who never misses a chance to add new tics to his life list. Chris says his PowerPoint program will have "no text" and no graphs and no tables and no technology. It will be full of just beautiful scenes and beautiful places and beautiful people. Sit back and get warm ! He is currently employed as a graduate assistant in wildlife biology at Clemson University. He recently graduated with a B.S. in biology at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. He plans to earn a Ph.D. in biology and be employed as a curator for a natural history museum.
