Steele Creek Park

10:30 AM Bird Walk - Rack Cross and Sam Cross leaders
6:00 PM Owl Prowl - Larry McDaniel leader
Meet at the Beach House Lodge for the morning trip. Larry will post details
for the Owl Prowl.
The BBC Weather Management Committee, Wallace Coffey and Dave Worley have
scheduled rain for our Bird Walk so dress accordingly. It may be that we
observe
birds from the dry deck of the covered porch at the Beach House Lodge and
Nature Center Porch. Shelter will be available during the morning trip for
warmth
and restrooms.
Cooler temperatures and precipitation may bring good waterfowl to Steele
Creek Lake. The park has already hosted rare (for there) species in past couple
of
months including Northern Shovelers and Bufflehead.
This will be Jr. Naturalist Sam Cross' first outing as field trip leader
since his recent appointment to that position.
