Wow!  Good eye and good report, Bryan.  That is the first summer season
record I am aware of for the American White Pelican in the five-county
Northeast Tennessee area.  And I know of none for Southwest Virginia or
Western North Caorlina.  Maybe someone else can jump in here and help.  Have
they had one at Rankin Bottoms during the summer ?  Was that bird flying
over the Cheorkee National Forest?
