[brailleblaster] Log files

Hi John,

I am no longer getting the error message that the log file can't be opened.
The liblouisutdml.log file is created but it is still 0K. I tried
translating a file that didn't exist and the error message came to the
console not to the file. How can I verify that errors will be written to the
log file?
