Here is what I see in the log.xml file in the log folder. That is the only
file in there.

The log file is being written to the folder created within the temp folder
when BB runs.
CheckLibLouisLog class attempts to read from a log file in the log folder.
That may be why the log messages are not appearing onscreen.

Now I do see the error message written to the log file. It still doesn't
appear anywhere else. Here is what is in the log file:
Encoding, preferably UTF-8, must be specified
