Hi, list,

I have some small beefs with the Braille Sense, and I would like to know if any
of you out there have experienced these same aggravations.

I've had my Braille Sense for about two months now. I was impressed with it
the first time I saw it. I can't say I know everything about the product yet,
as I have yet to make time to familiarize myself with every aspect of it.
Still, I've noticed some strange quirks.

For one thing, my battery seems to run out long before it's due. This could be
because I didn't follow the precise charging instructions that were only
included in the CD manual. My unit will be fully charged at the beginning of
my work day, and there have been times when it doesn't make it through. Then
when I plug in the power supply, I see the power level around 45-47%.

Another thing... If I'm typing very quickly on the Braille Sense, not all
characters will register. I will look back on my writing, and I must correct
numerous omissions. This is especially annoying when doing a find from within
a file. I can't count the number of instances that my search for a particular
word or phrase resulted in a "not found" because my search string was missing
letters or a space between words.
One more thing... I'm constantly saving my notes during the day, because my
unit has a delightful little habit of freezing up. When this happens, I must
perform a reset thereby losing any previously-written material.

So, have any of you out there experienced any of this? I'm very curious.

Warm regards to all, and happy Friday!!

Erin
