Programs Manager
Cheetah Conservation Botswana is a long term conservation project,
incorporating research, community outreach and education.
We invite applications for the position of Programs Manager.
Requirements: Minimum BSc in environmental conservation related field;
a.. 5 yrs+ experience of working in wildlife / conservation / community work;
b.. Experience of project management, staff coordination, managing budgets
and accounts;
c.. Self starter able to identify new program opportunities;
d.. Articulate in public situations, a strong negotiator and communicator;
e.. Proven experience in liaising with government;
f.. Experience in leading research and providing guidance to staff;
g.. Willingness to work with people of multi-cultural background;
· Willingness to work flexible hours;
· Full clean driving license holders only;
a.. Proficiency with computer.
Duties: Provide management oversight to daily operational and administrative
aspects;
· Develop and submit work programmes for project execution and delivery
of outputs;
· Supervise staff assignments, consulting agreements and procurements;
· Provide financial oversight and ensure financial accountability;
· Maintain continuous liaison with government departments and agencies,
private sector and NGOs with an interest in biodiversity;
· Ensure sound programme monitoring and evaluation;
· Ensure preparation and timely delivery of quarterly technical and
financial reports.
