[bookshare-discuss] Re: what's everyone reading?

I'm the opposite. Sometimes I'll read a book after I
see a movie, but I don't like to see movies afer I've
read a book, because the characters often are not as
I picture them, and, as pointed our here earlier,
sometimes the plots are different, too. If I hear from
daughter or friends that the movie follows the book
pretty closely, like the Harry Potter movies, or is
even better than the book, I'll go. I wouldn't see
Gone with the Wind for years, because Clark Gable was
not my idea of Rhett Butler. And, although the video
of The Far Pavilions is in our library, I can't
imagine it being as good as the book. I'll have to
wait until more time passes and my image of the
characters fades before I'll borrow it. The video does
have a wonderful cast, so I do want to see it
sometime.
