That's been my experience, too. Now I just validate a
txt document in and save i in text and put the page
number without a page break. The last book I did the
page numbers were at the bottom, so I put a line space
before and after the page number and put a note in the
long synopsis (which I had to write because the
scanner didn't) that page numbers wer at the bottom of
the page.  If the page numbers are at the top, I'll do
the same thing but note that the page numbers are at
the top of the page.
