Hi, Maithe. While Openbook does have a spellchecker, I've found Word to be easier to use and more flexible with how I work. I can certainly understand wanting to read a book in Openbook because of its navigation and reading features. I used to read in Openbook but do my spellchecking in Word. One thing that frustrated me about Openbook was that if I had to exit the spellchecker to do something in my document, Openbook would start from the top all over again, requiring me to re-ignore things I'd already told it to ignore. With Word, it resumes where I left off unless I totally exit the program. That's why I ended up using Word to check spelling and then would read the book in Openbook. Now I use Kurzweil and don't have to use a two-step approach.

Hi list!
I have a quick question about spellcheck in Openbook. I use F7 to begin the spellcheck; however, it does not let me edit the word even though it is in an edit box...is this normal? I usually do my spellcheck in Word, but I figured using Openbook would be better. Does anybody have a solution for this? I am not sure if it is my computer giving me a hard time or the Openbook...my computer and I have a war going on. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Maithe
