Hi, Kasondra. I'll think about this but don't know how much input I'll be able
to give. <smile> I just wanted to congratulate you and hope it goes well! Good
luck! Take care.

  Subject: [bookshare-discuss] my presentation

I don’t think this is off topic because it has to do with Bookshare and
reading. I am doing a presentation on reading resources for people with print
disabilities. I am in an interdisciplinary training class at Utah State
University. The idea is to teach people going into professions like special
education and social work how to work with disabled people. I was asked to be
in the class because I am a parent of disabled kids, and I am blind myself.
The students were all given the opportunity to speak on projects that they were
involved in that the class might be interested in. I realized that a lot of
the professionals we work with seem to be totally clueless about what resources
are available for us to take advantage of the printed word. I started out just
wanting to talk about Bookshare, but I decided to talk about other resources
that would fit different groups of people. I am going to talk about NLS,
RFB&D, and Newsline, in addition to Bookshare. I will probably be doing this
presentation in the next month. I just wanted to tell you all that I am doing
this, and possibly get you guys to give me any input. Thanks.
