Or a tax deduction of some kind for  participating talent.

I wonder if it's some kind of partnership with audible or with the
audio publishers themselves.

This is the first I have heard about this. I look forward to trying it
out. As I started reading this announcement I imagined that it would be
something like Learning Ally where the readers are all volunteers and
are far from professional actors. They do a pretty good job of putting
one word in front of another, but the main usefulness of them is to
convey bare information. Then I read further down in this announcement
and see mention of professional actors and celebrities. So I am
wondering what this means. Is Bookshare going to start providing
commercial audio books like the NLS does? Most of those come from
Audible. If that is not the case then this could cost a lot of money.
They don't call professional actors professional for nothing. That is
how they make a living. Right now I have not read further down the
thread. Maybe some of my questions will be answered, but these questions
represent my first         reaction to this.
