Hi Cindy,

I think that's probably a typo on the part of your library, as the 
copyright date should be 2002.  It was written as the 9th book, but it 
really stands outside the series.  "Hard Eight" was the 8th in the series, 
and it's followed by "To the Nines" and "Ten Big Ones."
