I'm not sure I understand the first part of your post.
Are you looking on the Marissa's List or do you mean
when people post? The books available for validation
are the ones that someone has scanned and submitted.
They go automatically and instantly to the page one
download list. Either the scanner or the bookshare
automatic rater rates them Poor; Fair, which is what
the bookshare system rates them if no one else has, if
I understand correctly; Good; or Excellent. How
accurate these latter ratings are is anybody's guess.
I wouldn't trust them. But you can download a book
rated Excellent to validate and see. If you're lucky
and it's truly Excellent, validating it should be easy
and a pleasure. (Pick a book you'd like to read.)

You need to be registered as a volunteer to download
books. If you are, just click on the title and then on
the download.
