Shelley, thanks for making me feel less crazy! (smile) Yes, I find myself reaching for the keyboard to fix scannos when I'm reading now. It's a reflex. I've gotten to where I physically hide my wireless keyboard when I read for pleasure so I will be able to read without fixing anything. I was beginning to wonder if I'd developed a strange, neurotic complex. Lol. You're right about the perfectionism thing corrupting us. I used to think a scan rated good here was totally awesome because it was better than no book at all. I accepted scannos as just part of reading. I used to hardly notice if there was a header on each page as I was reading. Now I do notice these things, and I even sometimes notice page numbers when they're out of order. Heaven forbid! I may start noticing the extra line breaks that bug the Braille users one of these days. (grin)

Ah, Monica, but if you are like me, you will want to edit that text if you hear an obvious ooopsie, smile. Or at least that is the impulse I have to fight. Luckily the Book Courier doesn't allow me to do any editing. I wasn't a perfectionist with my scans before I came to Bookshare, you all have corrupted me, but.... I will proudly admit the perfectionism has not spread to my apartment or my teaching, fewwwwwww, sigh of relief. Shelley L. Rhodes B.S.
