Shelley,
Sarek was my favorite Trek novel too. There's another Trek novel that will
soon be on the new books list that I think you might also like. It's called
"Uhura's Song." The crew of the Enterprise are trying to figure out how to
cure a plague that is striking members of a rather delightful felinoid race.
The solution lies on another planet of felinoids who love music and the
outdoor life. It's a really fun adventure story with some lovable
characters.
