Hi, Patti. I don't know a thing about OpenBook, but generally, the best settings for one book won't be the best settings for another. A big part of scanning is messing around with the settings for each book until you find one that works well with that book. Then, you start all over trying to find a good setting for the next book. *smile* Sometimes, paperbacks take the same or similar settings, and certain paper types work better with certain settings, but even that can be variable. *smile* Take care. I was wondering, and I know some one has answered this before, but, which are the best settings to use for Open Book? I can't tell a lot of difference except for a quicker scan between 300 dpi and 400, as far as quality; one read the page I was scanning and one didn't, then the next page I scanned, the 300 dpi setting that read better didn't on this page I scanned and the 400 dpi did. I have my settings on mormal typewritten and emphasis text, columns on, changed it from automatic settings. Those of you that do a lot of scanning and have things turn out very well, what is really the best? I know it has a lot to do with the scanner too, but just in general, what do you think? Sorry for all the questions, but I really want to submit a book, and I want it to turn out well. Thanks for listening, Patti Dear Lord, help me to become the kind of person that my dog thinks I am.
