Just to prevent any possible confusion, that's CBS, not NBC. Look for perky Katie, not whoever's anchoring NBC news these days.

Dear Booksharians,

Jim and Bookshare were slick and smart on the NBC national news tonight!!! The segment about Jim's dedication to bettering lives through technology and Bookshare specifically was informative and beautifully produced and filmed.

Showcasing all of Jim's accomplishments and Bookshare's value in a handful of seconds isn't possible, but NBC made an extremely articulate, dignified and positive attempt in tonight's national news!

Millions of people glimpsed Jim at a computer, the conduit of his genius, strolling on a sunny California street and inspiring technology students in a classroom. Jim, you radiated sincerety, competence and enthusiasm.

The Booksharians reading books on braille displays, and listening to them on speakers and headphones, and talking about how Bookshare puts blind readers on parr with print readers, did a wonderful job of speaking for all of us.

Have you heard from 60 minutes or Dateline yet, Jim? The story of Bookshare, its founder, staff, volunteers and subscribers, is good news, a tribute to American inginuity, a pitch for literacy, and a story worth telling in more detail. Everybody stay tuned!

Always with love,

Lissi
