Or you can of course turn off or put your PC in stand-by mode or hibernate mode, get a cloth and some non-lotion/soapy alcohol, that us blind people use to clean our braille displays, you can find them at any drug store or something similar to Longs Drug store, then, wipe it down and let it dry or you can take a new cloth and dry it then you should be good to go. The same applies to the monitor, just turn the monitor off when doing so. Hope this helps and as for me, putting anything electronic into the dishwasher could cause problems I could imagine. So I have a keyboard with a long extension cord so I can type away with the keyboard on my lap while I'm sitting on my bed. I have been known to eat a meal while at the computer; however, there is an easy way for you hungry people to feed yourselves and still be sure crumbs or goopy sauces or anything that might slip into the keyboard from getting there. Solution: get yourselves a a tray table with legs short enough so they can be folded down and the tray can sit on your legs. Then your food will mess up your tray and not your keyboard. Naturally, all of you, being resourceful and intelligent people have probably thought of this, right? Of course, right! Mind you, this works if you are sitting on the bed and using the computer. If you are sitting at a computer desk, get yourselves a tray of some kind or other and that might do the trick. I'd just get a new one if you're not comfortable popping off the key you think is sticking and cleaning under it and then popping the key back on. You can also tip the keyboard over and gently shake it back and forth to dislodge anything that might be stuck under the key, if you're like me, and prone to eating at the computer, you can get crumbs under the keys without even noticing. I really don't think I'd put it in the dishwasher. -- Jamie in Michigan Currently Reading: Bare Bones by Kathy Reichs See everything I've read this year at: www.michrxtech.com/books.html __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4412 (20090909) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4412 (20090909) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com
