Since the reason as to why Off topic postings have been tolerated here is not the one you gave as to why many "blindness" lists tolerate them, it is not applicable here.


And while it may be true that many mainstream lists do not tolerate them - I notice that you did not use the word "all" - the same is true of many "blindness" lists as well. So what. Are you saying that everyone should move in lock step?

Many blindness mailing lists tolerate off-topic posts because the moderators understand that some blind people find it easier to reply to a message than
do what they should learn to do to find the right place to address a
specific question. Many mainstream lists would give you a warning and then
kick you if you violated the topical guidelines more than once or twice.
