Kids are amazing. It is funny when you meet a child who can barely speak and they come-out with a $20 word. *L*

Oh, those stories are cute, Rose. It seems that little children hear new
words and they like to use them if they like the sound of the words.

I used to call Chester Puppy too, or just Pup.

We got our Lab from the pound and his name is Charles. One night he got
outside and did not want to come back and my husband was yelling "Charles
get back over here." We had new neighbors and his name was Charles and he
was rather offended that my husband was yelling at him like that. Took some
explaining. Anyway, Charles is more often called Puppy around here even
though he is now 10 years old.

One evening Charles was in the front yard and a small child, maybe three or
so came up and started to pet him and said "him nice, him mellow, him
Charles." Where he got mellow from I don't know.

My dog's name is Turnpike...we found him in the middle of the Turnpike. I
don't have a guide dog, but I am seriously considering applying for one.

Ah, most people can't remember Guinevere, and they kept messing up Judson,
calling him things like jackson, jason and the like, smile so never had
that
problem.

My dog is "rover" however, when people in the public are intrusive and
invading my space and privacy or just won't take "know" for an answer.

Smile.

I like that name. It is different but it is one I could get used to.
Names
that are different can have an advantage. People might not understand
what
you have said when you are giving a command. You're long gone by the
time they figure it out. I don't like people to know my dog's name. I
gave her an alias. I have had people call my dog when I am trying to go
down the street.

Sure her dog's name is

Aziza, a tiny, 45 lbs yellow labrador, but she is changing it to Aviva,
which meas spring in Hebrew, apparently aziza means strong.

Apparently I didn't get the original email with Liz's dog's name. Can
someone pass it along to me?
