Good points, Amber. My late husband loved tapes. The only thing he hated was hearing Westerns being read by women, especially those with Eastern accents. <smile> Sue S. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karen Lewellen" <klewellen@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, November 18, 2006 10:57 PM Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Re: More books than I know what to do with! This is honestly a matter of opinion. I prefer a human reader to a computer any day, and cannot understand why some feel the tape structure is flawed. I can sit by the ocean and read in comfort and with the kind of vocal seasoning only a human ca produce. I think the suggestion that a book produced today could likewise be available today. Still my point is that each individual has personal tastes. Both services have their place, and I trust both will remain for those who want to savor them.
