I apologize for sending this two places but I can't
find Anastasia's post now and I don't remember where
she posted it.

Anastasia,

I found one children?s book in a library online
catalog:

Kent, Deborah.
Title : Why me? : the courage to live / Deborah Kent.
Publisher : New York : Pocket Books, 2001.
Description : 194 p. ; 18 cm.
Annotation : One minute Chloe Peterson was a happy,
busy teen, going to school, working at a vet's office,
and trying out for the school musical. Then her world
fell apart. It began with headaches, fever, and aching
stiffness that left her weak and dizzy. When Chloe is
diagnosed with Lupus she lands in the hospital
fighting for her life.

And I found a few more, one of which is only 23 pages,
though it may not be for children:

1. The author is Henrietta Aladjem; the title is A
Patient's Story. It was published in by the East
Tennessee Chapter, Lupus Foundation of America, 1977

2.Also by Henrietta Aladjem, published by the Lupus
Foundation of America in 1982, Lupus, Hope Through
Understanding (209 pages)

3. Lupus, Alternative Therapies that Work by Sharon
Moore (246 pages)
