Hi, Dan. Thanks for working on this book. You made a good call on it. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to work on it and reject it before you got to it. I had released it because it was in Microsoft Word format and would have required me to work on a different computer to validate. The computer in my bedroom doesn't have Word installed. With my health issues, I knew I wouldn't have gotten to it for a couple of months. I'm glad you were willing to look at it and make a sound decision about the book. The content of the book itself is quite good. I had read the book from my own scan about 8 years ago. Bookshare didn't exist back then, and I saved all of my scans as text files that can't be submitted to Bookshare. If I can track down my print copy, I'll do a rescan. That's probably going to happen far off in the future though since that book is somewhere in a bookcase in our office. It's a bummer that this copy was in such rough shape.

Hi folks,

I have just rejected this book that I believe was recommended by Monica Willyard. It was submitted by the famous "A Bookshare Volunteer". Since no name as given I can't contact the submitter. If I could I could give them some sugestions on how to submit cleaner scans.

This book has lots of scannos. Many of these are the kind that E talks about a lot being able to clean up with ranked spelling. It also has a large number of chopped off lines. There are some truncated on the end and some on the beginning.
This book also has a number of pages that are multiple column pages.

I just can not bring myself to spend the kind of time it would take to attempt to clean this one up.
