Dear Booksharian Friends,

I need a loan! I just lost $24! I was counting on that money to buy books from Amazon for Bookshare. When I checked my piggybank there was no rattle or rustle. Does the U. S. Government insure Piggybanks? Meanwhile will someone please float me a loan? Somebody might buy the books I want before I can find my lost savings. Now's when I find out who my Booksharian Friends really are!

hahahehehahahehah

Cliches are so handy. How about the one that says it's darkest before the dawn or the one that points out it get's worse before it gets better?

All of this is my silly way of saying I't's a red letter day for validators, including me! We got our raise today. The nuts and bolts of putting it into effect have blown out the system and my Bookshare account is zero now, but when order is restored, and we all know it will be restored, my Bookshare pot is going to grow 5 times faster than before! Nice incentives like that can't happen very often, so I really will remember today fondly.

Meanwhile, John is going to be over his head in accounts to sort out for anyone renewing their membership. We know he'll concoct a fair solution, but I don't envy him the extra work...that is, unless the engineers work magic, and put the new accounting system in place by morning or at least before John has to dig out of too much confusion.

Booksharian friends, you can forget the loan. I'll stand by until the new programs kick in. I've got enough books stacked around my computer and in all of the rooms of my house except the bathroom, to keep me happily scanning and validating for...ages.

Thank you, Bookshare!

Always with love,
