Hello Joe, When you unpacked the book, were you asked if you wanted an HTML copy? If you said "no", then unpack it again, saying "yes" this time. Once done, you may read the book by finding it and pressing enter. It'll open in your default browser. If that's Firefox, then you'll have exactly what you want. :-) These books are provided in text based DAISY format. Victor Reader Soft is provided by Bookshare as a free solution for accessing these books. If you don't like it, then you may certainly purchase another DAISY reader, such as FSReader from Freedom Scientific. Otherwise, you may read the .html file in your web browser of choice. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jo Taliaferro" <soaringeagle7@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, March 28, 2008 7:48 AM Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Re: HELP!!! I can't read books on my computer!! OK, but I want to read the books off-line. I am confused by your explanation about reading in Internet explorer since I use Firefox and don't want to read books while online. Perhaps someone else can give me more options and explain the file extensions I mentioned.
