Hi Jan and others.

I couldn't find any Anne Rule books on the Bookshare site, and so am not
familiar with her work.  However, as mysteries go, my favorites of late have
been the Stephanie books by Janet Evanovich.  They have police-type drama,
and are hilariously funny as well.

I am also a fan of Iris Johansen.  She is a romance writer turned mystery
writer - and is best at the latter if you ask me, <smile>.

These are all I'm coming up with off the top of my head at the moment.  They
are probably way off the mark in terms of what you mention below, but this
is what came to mind when I thought crime.
