I don't know if you have tried this already, but if you haven't, try the
following:
Send a BLANK email, from the email address you are subscribed to the
list with. Send the email to: bookshare-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
and in the subject of the email type just the following: unsubscribe
