My feelings exactly, Dave. Maybe she is jealous because the Harry Potter
books are popular with both adults and children.

Considering she is an author, and not being paid as a literary critic, it
seems to be arrogant, supercilious, and in bad taste for her to comment on
another's success or ability. It would make one wonder why she felt the
need to comment so negatively on another's work, especially when you
consider JKR's books were written for children.
The bottom line is no one said she had to read JKR's books, so she
shouldn't have to deal with that little editor in her head. That technique
has held me in good stead in regard to McCullough's books.
I'm sure there were many artist in the 50's and 60's who felt Jackson
Pollack was a rotten painter, but if anyone has any of his work under their
bed or in their attic, I would be willing to take it off their hands for
them.
