Hello Peter,

The second charge to your card was reversed on our end the day it occurred. If
you were in fact charged twice, please write me off list so that we can look
into this situation further.

Thanks

Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Charge-Backs

Good evening everyone,

I recently renewed my Bookshare.org membership for one year so I thought.
When I was completing my credit card transaction I lost speech and had to
restart my screen reader. ASsuming my transaction was aborted due to my exiting
the Bookshare.org credit card processing module I started again only to later
discover that my credit card was charged double for the subscription. I sent an
email to alert billing to this and contacted Beneteck to address the matter
with them. The person I spoke with at Beneteck assured me that the email
message reached them and that I would receive a chargeback to my credit card
for the additional $50.00 due to the screen reader problem. It has been three
weeks since this happened and I have yet to see a credit for the over charged
amount in my account statement. I'm rather disappointed that such a fine
organization as Beneteck would drag their feet in processing this refund after
I was reassured that it would be taken care of promptly. Has anyone else here
had similar problems? What's being done to address this situation to prevent
things like this from happening to new and renuing subscribers in the future?
Thanks for the response.
