I've approved and uploaded First Lady of the Seeing Eye. It's a wonderful book about how guide dogs were introduced into the United States, the early days of training the dogs and their owners, how trials of getting the dogs to be allowed on modes of transportation, in restaurants, etc. It's very readable and written with a nice sense of humor. And the feelings of Morris and other blind people he writes about when they were dependent upon paid assistants or on family members to lead them around, and when they heard the pitying comments of passersby, should make people, especially sighted people, more aware of the feelings of others and of how to behave when when in the course of their lives they come upon people who are "different.
