What is the name of the series about the Israeli detective?
I have read the Monk series but I like the books featuring Charlotte and Thomas Pitt better. They are more light hearted. Monk is a very complex character
Happy new year everyone.

Hi, Nancy,

And Happy New Year to you and your family. smile

I haven't read the Monk series because someone said it
was darker, so to speak, and involved more of the
lower class--but when I finish the Pitt series Imight
try one. On the other hand, I came across a series
involving an Israeli detective written by an Israeli
woman that looked good, and I want to read at least
one of those.

Yes, it is Harcourt. I'm not sure what part he plays
in the Monk series, but that's what the cover flap
said. smile

Cindy,

I just finished the Christmas Guest..it was simple
to read, thank goodness,
so I could do some cleaning in the bedroom as I
listened. What character
was from the Monk series? Was it Harcourt?

I previously read the Journey and interestingly
enough, I found parts of it
to be rather tedious. I did enjoy learning about
the past of Lady
cumming-Gould.

I am so sure that I would have been much like
Charlotte...even to the fact
that I married a policeman. I don't think I could
have mastered all the
incessant rules of the Victorian Society...but I
have enjoyed the look into
the Victorian era thru my friends Thomas and
Charlotte.
