I found the simplest way out of this problem was to spend $A60 on a small
dedicated note taker. The gadget is great, 4 inches long, 1 inch wide and a
half inch in thickness.
Easily carried in your handbag, pocket, you name it.
Unobtrusive, if the situation arises and you need to record an urgent thought.

Well, I've gotten to the point where in addition to transferring and playing
files on the bookport, I can record memos. But I still can't write notes on
the blasted thing. I forget right this minute what the command for creating
a note is, but I remember following the instructtions while reading the
manual, but then when I tried to write within what I thought was a created
note file, nothing happened.
