This player will support the NLS digital books, however only qualified NLS patrons will be able to get that software. How they are going to verify elegibility for this is unknown, but it should be interesting. Apparently NLS is not going to allow players capable of playing their format to be sold to the public, instead only those qualified people can buy machines with this enabled.
