Geraldine -

I've never heard of a type 11 card and wonder if you mean type II (that 
Roman numeral 2). Those can't be used in the Book port. I assume that 
"ultra" references high-speed CF cards and no, you don't need one of those. 
Their higher speed is really of value only to those who use CF cards in 
digital cameras.
