Boy, is this ever true! Nowadays I preview every book I plan to purchase, and have given a few titles thumbs down. Not many, but a few, and those few would have cost me money.

Hi David and list:

Be careful what you ask for. Just as a point, one of my most exciting finds at Audible.com was an unabridged version of War and Peace. It has been my only disappointing purchase. It was available in format 4, so that wasn't the problem. The problem was it was created from cassette masters, which only becomes apparent when you listen to the lousy quality. I don't have the best hearing in the world. In fact, posts in the archives of this list will show that I've recently begun wearing hearing aids. But having to feel like I'm listening to a cassette wasn't what I had in mind when I selected this title. It also might go far toward explaining why I haven't finished downloading it, let alone listen to it on my book port or anything else.

Cheers,
Dave
