Have you checked the battery connectors?  What error do you get in windows?  Is 
it a device not recognized error or something else?  If it is a device not 
recognized error, you may have to return the unit but I will leave that call up 
to Larry, Rob, pam et al.

  My bookport is not responding to any commands.

  I am not sure whether it ceased functioning because of any possibility of the 
battery going flat or a firmware update.

  I have inserted new batteries in to the unit, taken one battery out and put 
it back after thirty seconds.  I have tried to reset the unit a number of times 
without success.

  Added to this windows won't recognise the bookport.

  I am using windows xp which shouldn't be a problem.

  Any suggestion would be appreciated.
