This isn't a JAWS issue at all, but rather one of Sapi 5, which is what we use
for all of our programs, so it really doesn't matter what JAWS you have, but if
the Sapi 5 has been installed. If you do have an English Version of Windows XP
installed and that is your default, then then the engine should be there. We
have found that if someone is not running the English version of Windows XP as
their default, then the speech engine is not already installed. You might want
to go to the Microsoft page and download and install the Sapi 5 Speech Engine.
Then, try reinstalling the Book Port Transfer again.

I ran that message by our programmer and he says it means you don't have any
Sapi Speech Engines installed. This usually happens if you don't have an
English version of Windows installed.

error number 800401564

Well, I don't know what the problem is. We're looking into another
situation, so it could be that when that one is resolved, it'll also help
your situation. I can understand why the older one would work, because it
doesn't have speech attached. We only started uses the Sapi 5 engines with
Version 2.3, so if your original install is older, that would explain why it
installs.
What other speech engines do you have installed?
I'm sorry, I don't have a fix for you now, but I will report it.

We are looking into this, but haven't found out the reasoning. I don't know
if this apply's to your situation, but it seems to be a problem with
computers that are running versions of XP in other languages. We don't yet
have a fix for this.

every timer i try to upgrade bookport transfer software. i get a speech
error message have gone back to the original version i startedwith . I get a
can not create but when i enter on ok the software goes as normal.bp is now
2 and a half years old.
any ideas on how to fix this.I downloaed the current upgrade from abut still
