Hi Nora and list:

Nothing is supported indefinitely. The way the market runs these days, two years for a product to be supported is longer than usual. I'm not saying you have to like it, but it is the reality of the time.

I bought my cell phone a year ago and some have already told me how out-dated I am because the phone I bought is officially off the mainstream market. This doesn't really cause me any problem, but it's the way things are. My phone cost considerably more than the book port and I use it for fewer things than I do the book port.

I can think of many devices that were great in their day but are no longer supported. Heck, the companies that made them no longer exist in many instances.

I am sure that APH will continue to support current book port users as long as they can, but I don't expect them to do the impossible.

Cheers,
Dave

My Bookport is two minths old. Does this mean that it is only being supported for two years? I have the latest version available as far as I know. Can anyone enlighten me on this. I sure hope it will be supported for more than just two years or it will ave been a very expensive reading source. Thanks for any information.

When the new bookport comes out, how long will our old ones be
supported?
I have a very old one I haven't gotten fixed. It stopped connecting
to
the computer but I thought I could use it anyway. Much to my
surprise,
after a couple of betas I couldn't use it anymore. How long are the
ones
we are using going to be supported? Thanks. Kurt
